Mission Statement
The Uptown Maumee Farmers Market honors the agricultural traditions of the Miami (Myaamia) and Ottawa (Odawaa) peoples who first cared for this land. Our mission centers on education, sustainability, and community, supporting local growers and promoting environmental stewardship. By fostering collaboration among the city, businesses, and community members, we aim to educate on environmental care, nutrition, and cultural heritage, blending tradition with innovation to nourish both the people and the land.
Vision
To be a thriving weekly cornerstone marketplace in Uptown Maumee where the community gathers to celebrate locally grown and raised food, connecting farmers directly with consumers and building a sustainable food system that nurtures local agriculture and fosters community.
